In Ganesha’s truck, lies the secret of prosperity

Lord Ganesha, the God of wisdom, is the first one to be worshiped of all deities. They are the god who give auspicious benefits in every aspect of life. They are Vighnaharta, who remove all the obstacles of the path. Before bringing the idol of Shri Ganesh or before the installation in the house, the question arises that on which side should the trunk of Shri Ganesh be? Have you ever noticed that in the pictures and idols of Lord Ganesha, his trunk is in the right or some in the left. Lord Ganesha with a straight trunk is rare. It is because of their curved trunk that Ganesha is called Vakratund. There are also two types of Vakratunda form of Lord Ganesha. In some statues, the trunk of Ganesha is turned to the left and in others to the right. Ganpati ji is believed to have influence of Moon in left trunk and Sun in right. The straight trunk of Ganesha is seen from all the three sides.

Ganesha with trunk to the right

Ganesha with trunk to the right is considered to be stubborn. Usually such a statue is not kept at home and office. Many religious practices are required to be followed when installing them. Such idols are installed in the temples and worshiped right there. Worship of such Ganesha is considered fruitful for destruction of troubles, enemy defeat, victory and fierceness. Ganesha with a trunk rolling to the right is called Siddhivinayak. It is believed that every action is proved by his philosophy. If you see him while going somewhere for any particular work, then that work will be a success and auspicious results will be obtained.

Ganesha with trunk to the left

The idol of Ganesha seated on the throne with the trunk turned to the left should be kept in the house of worship. Worshiping them brings happiness, peace and prosperity in the home. Such idols are worshiped for education, wealth, business, progress, child happiness, marriage, creative work and family prosperity. It is also auspicious to place an idol or picture of Ganesha at the main entrance of the house. Here, the trunk of Ganesha should be established on the left. Ganesha with a trunk rotated to the left is called Vighnavinaashak. The logic behind putting them at the main gate in the house is that when we go out somewhere, many types of bullies, calamities or negative energy come with us. When we visit Lord Ganesha before entering the house, due to this effect, all this negative energy stops there and do not enter the house with us. This keeps positive energy in the house and destroys the vaastu dosh.

Worship of the statue with a straight trunk is considered best for Riddhi-Siddhi, Kundalini Jagran, Moksha, Samadhi etc. Saints, often, worship such a statue.
