The symbol of this nakshatra is Head of a Horse including the stars β and γ Arietis.
Ashvini Kumaras are the deities of this nakshatra who were the twin brothers and the physicians of celestial gods.
The name Ashvini was used by Varahmihira in the 6th century. Ashvini is the name of an asterism (pattern of stars) in Indian astronomy, later identified with the mother of the Ashvins. Ashvini is classified as a small nakshatra and indicates the beginning of any work.
It is considered as “THE STAR OF TRANSPORT ” . Under the influence of this star the person become fearless and immature.They can not remain still and always want do something. They are restless and impatient.
